Three ways to fund your Alphatrade Securities account

In the world of trading, time is money, that’s why at Alphatrade, we make it simple and easy for you to fund your account. We offer a variety of ways to fund your account. Choose the option that best suits your needs below.

Wire Transfer

You can transfer money electronically from one of your existing bank or brokerage accounts to your Alphatrade account. Deposited funds will be available for trading the next business day if received by 4 p.m. E.T.

Important notes
  1. Alphatrade does not charge any fees for receiving wire transfers, though many banks and brokerages charge fees for sending them. Wires received from foreign bank accounts may incur additional intermediary bank charges.
  2. Please do not wire funds until your account is approved, and you have confirmed that the account is ready to receive a wire.
  3. For all incoming wires, the sending bank or firm must reference the title of your Alphatrade Securities, Inc. or Alphatrade Equities account from which the funds originated.
  4. Please note that the title of your Alphatrade account and the title of the account from which you are transferring funds must match. Foreign currency funds wired to any of the USD instructions below will be converted to U.S. dollars (USD) upon receipt.

Check

You can deposit cash into your Alphatrade brokerage account from an external account by mailing in a check.

Instructions
  1. Write your Alphatrade Securities account number in the memo section of your check.
  2. If you are making an IRA contribution, include the contribution year in the memo section of your check.
  3. Make check payable to: Alphatrade Securities, Inc. For Rollovers make check payable to: Alphatrade Securities, Inc. FBO (your name).
  4. Mail check to:

Important notes
  1. The title and address of your Alphatrade Securities, Inc. or Alphatrade equities account and the title and address of the account from which the check you are sending for deposit must match.
  2. You may send a check via U.S. mail or overnight or certified mail, along with your signed account documents.
  3. All check deposits must be in U.S. dollars and clear through a U.S. corresponding bank. On personal checks, there is a three-business day trading hold for all account types.
  4. No hold is required on cashier’s checks, which are considered cleared funds. Funds are available for withdrawal after six business days. We do not accept funding via cash, third-party checks, or money orders.
  5. Please include a copy of the remitter for cashier’s checks.


Smart transfer (ACH)

You can transfer cash assets to or from your domestic linked bank account or another Alphatrade account.

Cost: Free | Availability: 3 days | Deposit Limits: $50,000
